Official Opening of the Felixstowe Chamber Business Hub

It was standing room only in the Chamber’s new Business Hub above Crafty Coffee in Hamilton Road as members and non-members gathered to hear Councillor Graham Newman, Felixstowe’s Mayor and Chamber member open it officially on March 13.

Graham predicted that the Hub would be “a fantastic asset”, providing the town’s start-ups, sole traders and SMEs with services ranging from information on training opportunities and essential business advice to regular events addressing topical issues facing the commercial sector today.

These courses will focus on business-critical areas such as finance, tax, sales and marketing, social media, data security and law.

Chamber chairman Roger Abbott said: “We want everybody to take advantage of this new facility, which provides access to free wi-fi and networking opportunities, alongside discounted coffee. This includes older businessmen and women seeking guidance and support to start up again, or just top up their pensions.

It is also available to hire by other organisations for training or business meetings by arrangement.”

Supported by the East Suffolk Partnership and East Suffolk Councils,  the Business Hub is open on Tuesday afternoons from 2pm, as well as Wednesday and Thursday from 10am. Details of the upcoming news and events at the Hub can be found at
