Social Media Training at the Felixstowe Business Hub

In an interesting and informative Social Media Workshop organised by the Chamber at its Business Hub and led by Nick Pandolfi, from Menta, attendees learnt the secrets of hashtags, Twitter, Facebook etc. and how to use them to improve our businesses.

In a workshop that lasted for more than two hours and which attracted  many members and non-members to the Business Hub above Crafty Coffee in Hamilton Road, Nick described how the various the Social media platforms operated, how they can be exploited and how they can work for Business.

He emphasised that promotional messages had moved on over the past year or two and short videos were now the best way to promote businesses, rather than the “traditional” written message.

His enthusiasm for the various platforms quickly infected everybody at the workshop and had them listening avidly, taking notes and coming away determined to make the most of being local,  to start using the hashtag button to help spread the marketing value of their messages more effectively and making and using videos to increase the footfall in Felixstowe’s town centre to help boost everybody’s opportunity to do more business.

If any other members would like to attend a similar workshop, or have ideas for workshops or seminars on other business-related subjects at the Hub, please contact Chamber business officer, Corrine Franklin (info@felixstowechamber.co.uk), or the chairman, Roger Abbott (abbott.roger@googlemail.com)).
