20th July 2022 6:00-8:00pm
Our next event is only two days away, on Wednesday 20th July. Our guest speaker is Mr. Christopher Grover, Active Travel Officer in the Department of Growth, Highways and Infrastructure for Suffolk County Council.
Business leaders and their staff must consider the climate crisis, physical inactivity, air pollution, road danger and congestion to benefit their business, and their role in their community.
“The Way To Go” website supplies information about walking, cycling, and public transport to show people alternative ways of travelling. It brings together maps of footpaths, cycle routes and information from Suffolk Onboard about local bus services.
As well as inspiring you with healthier, cheaper and more environmentally-friendly transport, Christopher will be offering advice on how you and your business can take advantage of the cycle to work scheme. An opportunity for you and your employees to save up to 48.25% on the unlimited cost of bicycles and related equipment, such as lights, helmets, etc.
We will also have a two-wheeled electric bicycle and a three-wheeled electric cargo bicycle that you can view and test safely on the private road within the grounds of our very own Felixstowe Museum.
The Old Felixstowe Brewery Company will have a pop-up licenced bar, with take-home pack discounts of your new favourite locally-produced stouts, beers and ales.
Tickets includes finger food and networking with business leaders from all sectors of our Felixstowe business community.
