Wednesday, 20 July 2022 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Our guest speaker for July is Mr. Christopher Grover, Active Travel Officer in the department of Growth, Highways and Infrastructure for the Suffolk County Council.
Business leaders and their staff must consider the climate crisis, physical inactivity, air pollution, road danger and congestion to benefit their business, and their role in their community.
“The Way To Go” website supplies information about walking, cycling, and public transport to show people alternative ways of travelling. It brings together maps of footpaths, cycle routes and information from Suffolk Onboard about local bus services.
As well as inspiring you with healthier, cheaper and more environmentally friendlier transport, Mr. Christopher Grover will be offering advice on how you and your business can take advantage of the cycle to work scheme. An opportunity for you and your employees to save up to 48.25% on the unlimited cost of bicycles and related equipment, such as lights, helmets, etc.
We will also have a two wheeled electric bicycle, and a three wheeled electric cargo bicycle, that you can view and test safely on the private road within the grounds of our Felixstowe Museum
Our hosts, Felixstowe Museum, was once a submarine mining establishment and is possibly the last example of such in the world. Whilst all displays will not be fully opened to you at this event, Mr. David Gledhill, the Chair of Landguard Peninsula Charitable Trust, will make available a taster of what’s inside, and encourage you and your family to come back to enjoy and support this treasured Felixstowe facility.
Tickets includes wine and canapés and networking with business leaders from all sectors of our Felixstowe Business community.
