Back in November, we held our hugely successful ‘Charity Focus’ event at The Wine Boutique, Hamilton Road, where Mayor of Felixstowe and Town Communities Officer, Councillor Sharon Harkin, introduced the charities that she has chosen to support during her tenure.
At the event, Councillor Harkin mentioned that she was looking for assistance from a local haulage company, which could assist with the relocation of a container for Manna Pop Up Shop, a local charity at Christ Church, Felixstowe that helps people who are suffering from food poverty and social isolation.
Just to show how impactful our Chamber is becoming within our community, we are thrilled to report that Gold member, CP Transport, has come to the rescue and arranged the ‘megalift’ of the container, which will provide additional storage to allow the charity to help more people now and in the future.
Mathew Gittins, Operations Director at CP Transport, said:
“CP Transport is so grateful that we were able to help even in the smallest way, so Manna Pop Up Shop can continue to help those most in need.”
Amanda Oliver, Felixstowe Chamber Business Officer, commented:
“I was hopeful that one of our Felixstowe Chamber members could help this important charity out and I am really pleased to hear that our Gold member CP Transport has stepped up and delivered! Thank you!”
Well done to all the team at CP Transport, your charitable goodwill will make such a difference to our community.
