Thanks to all those who joined us at Felixstowe Museum last week for a superb networking event with guest speaker Christopher Grover, Active Travel Officer in the Department of Growth, Highways and Infrastructure for Suffolk County Council.
Christopher gave us an insightful presentation on why business leaders and their staff must consider the climate crisis, physical inactivity, air pollution, road danger and congestion in order to benefit their business, and their role in their community.
We also got the chance to try out a two-wheeled electric bicycle and a three-wheeled electric cargo bicycle – as well as being great fun to trial (in the blazing Landguard sunshine!), these new eco-vehicles inspired us with healthier, cheaper and more environmentally-friendly transport options to consider.
We really appreciate Christopher’s time and a big thank-you to the Museum for being such an excellent host.
Thanks also to the Old Felixstowe Brewery Company, who provided a pop-up licenced bar, showcasing their locally-produced stouts, beers and ales.
