We have been continuing our busy networking calendar at the Chamber, as we enter the spectacular Summer months in our town.
Our second Business Breakfast of 2022 on was held on 21st June, on a beautiful blue-sky morning, at Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club, overlooking the picturesque course, with the Martello tower and River Deben estuary beyond.
It was the day of the Summer Solstice, signalling the first day of Summer, and preceded Felixstowe Town Council’s ‘Suffolk Day’ ceremony.
Local business leaders and our guest, Mick Richardson, Deputy Mayor, all enjoyed a hearty breakfast, before we welcomed our keynote speaker: Andrew Lisette, Bank Manager of TSB, now one of only two remaining business banks in our high street.
Andrew spoke about the easy, effortless transfer of business banking, including the forwarding of any payments, Direct Debits and standing orders, which are all supported by the Government’s ‘Switch Guarantee’. Plus, to provide further encouragement, TSB has offered 25 months of free business banking.
Andrew warned that fraud is a fast-growing crime in the UK and that Felixstowe is finding this a big problem, too. He highlighted how easy it is to get caught out and imparted valuable advice on how to be more cautious.
