Who we are
We are a firm of independent financial advisers based in Felixstowe, Suffolk offering a range of services backed by knowledge, expertise and experience. As most meetings are now done online using Zoom or Teams, your/our physical location is now less of an issue and we advise clients all across the UK.
Beechwood Financial Management was formed in 2009 by Roger Warner. He was joined by Geoff White in September 2012, who then took over running the firm in 2013 when Roger retired. The firm became a limited company and was directly authorised by the FCA in September 2015. Geoff is now growing the business and driving it forward. He is also continuing his education and qualification journey and is working towards achieving “Chartered” status.
Why Choose Beechwood
Geoff has almost 30 years’ experience in UK banking and financial services, so no matter how simple or complicated your current financial arrangements are, he will almost certainly have seen it before.
However, no two people are the same, so every client receives a solution individually tailored to their circumstances and needs.
Our advice is not free of course, as just like you, we have to cover our overheads and earn a living. However, with our unique blend of expertise, knowledge and experience, we believe that we are able to offer clients high quality advice that represents good value for money and results in positive outcome for you, our clients.
What we do
Whether you are a complete financial novice or a seasoned veteran, there will always be something else that you could do to improve your current financial planning strategy. In a nutshell, that’s what we do.
We believe that we offer a personal, professional service whilst remaining friendly and approachable.
We will sit down with you and discuss your current personal and financial circumstances, plans for the future, goals and objectives.
We will then outline how your financial plan might work, including possible solutions. If you are happy with this, we will send you a copy of our Client Agreement to sign and return to us, to officially engage us as your advisers and authorise us to work on your behalf. We will then move into the advice process.
How we are paid
Like any other professional adviser you have, we charge for our expertise, knowledge and advice.
We work for you on a pre-agreed basis, depending on the type and complexity of the work being undertaken.
Full details will be provided as part of our initial discussion. This initial meeting is conducted at our expense (i.e. at no cost to you) and typically lasts up to one hour.
All data and information about our clients is handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Data Protection Act (GDPR) 2018, kept secure (both paper files and electronic data) and is regularly backed up.
All regulated financial advisers in the UK have to be authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority and need to comply with the regulation they set.
We also contribute to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), which is there to protect you as a member of the public.
