Felixstowe Chamber was delighted to attend the annual ‘Felixstowe in Flower’ awards ceremony, hosted by Felixstowe Town Council at The Orwell Hotel on the evening of 14th October 2022.
These were the first awards to be held since 2019, and it was a packed crowd who waited eagerly to learn who had triumphed in floral Felixstowe this year!
‘Felixstowe in Flower’ is a partnership which involves the whole community, supported by sponsorship – including from Felixstowe Chamber – and encourages people of all ages to care for their environment, helping to bring colour and cheer to our fabulous town. The partnership involves local businesses. community groups, schools and individuals, who are each able to participate and contribute in different ways.
Amanda Oliver, Business Officer, and Rachael Jackson, Marketing and PR, were invited to join Mayor of Felixstowe, Councillor Sharon Harkin, on the stage to present the Felixstowe Chamber of Trade and Commerce Trophy in the ‘Best Hotel and Guest House’ category.
Winner of this prestigious trophy was The Orwell Hotel, which has long been recognised for the impressive blooms in its grounds.
General Manager, Laura Horne, was pleased to accept the award on the Hotel’s behalf.
